Our local specialist Hakim was very efficient and attentive during our planning process and during our trip.
Our driver/guide, Hakim Hamzawi, was also wonderful. He helped us navigate some very difficult circumstances during our trip, and was very flexible and resourceful. He is a lovely, compassionate man with excellent language skills.

Mohamed, our driver, was the most important key to the success of our trip. Always cheerful (despite the rigours of Ramadan), always helpful, always on time, he allowed us to be largely worry free as we travelled around Morocco. His driving was always safe, and his sense of direction never failed.

Hakim and the kimkim team did a great job in organizing our trip to Morocco. They took the time to understand what my wife, daughter, and I were looking for on our trip and planned exactly what we wanted.

We started off with two days in Fes which included a six hour tour of the medina and surrounding areas of the city. Our guide gave us a brief history of Fes and he also gave us some great insight into the Muslim religion and Ramadan. We stayed at a riad in the medina with a beautiful courtyard and very comfortable rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

From Fes, we drove south to Merzouga which is a small town in the Sahara Desert. From Merzouga we took a camelback ride through the desert sand dunes to a campsite about an hour away. We spent the night in a luxury camp with a fantastic dinner and breakfast. We also took in the sunset and sunrise from the dunes. This excursion out to the desert would turn out to be the highlight of our trip.

After breakfast in the desert camp, we rode the camels back to Merzouga and continued westward towards Marrakech. We made several stops along the way to see some beautiful gorges, the film town of Ouarzazate, and an overnight stop at Ait Benhaddou. I must mention that we were traveling just the three of us in a very comfortable SUV and our driver was excellent. He would explain to us the various sites along the way.

Marrakech was our final stop, and the city did not disappoint. Our stay included a food tour, a three hour tour of the medina, and a Hammam experience. We also spent a day in the Atlas Mountains hiking and having lunch with a Berber family. The Dar (hotel) was fantastic, again with very comfortable rooms and excellent staff.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Morocco. Hakim was always responsive to our questions leading up to the trip and he did an amazing job in booking first rate hotels (riad/dar), and in organizing tours and other events for us. Hakim was in touch with us throughout the trip to make sure everything was going according to plan. My family highly recommends the kimkim team, especially Hakim, for a unique experience in Morocco.

Our driver Rachid took us on a quick tour of Casablanca since we were driving from Rabat to Marrakech and didn't want to drive right passed without a little stop. He made sure we had time to visit Hassan II Mosque & take a tour, as well as drive us around the city. It was a perfect stop on our 3.5hr journey!

Our guides in Marrakech, Abdelali & Youssef, guide in Irfane, Karim and Hafid in Fes were generous with what they shared with us about the local place, taking us to different sites of interest, helping us decide what to taste and flexing the plan based on needs. The hot-air balloon ride, food tasting along the streets of Marrakech, the shopping in the Souks of Marrakech & Fes, camel ride in the Sahara, dancing and drumming around the camp-fire in the luxury desert tents, the stunning setting of Ait Benhaddou, walk along Gorges Dades, hiking in the Ifran national park, spending the day in Hassan II mosque in Casablanca, the several Kasbah tours and the Riad stays are all the highlights of our trip. When we struggled to choose the most favourite part of the trip, we realised how blessed we were to have such a great time. Truly, the people we met during our time in Morroco have made this a very memorable trip for our family.

Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about both the potential and the limitations of such a trip, but he seemed to have a natural intuition in understanding our vision of what we hoped to experience. As such, his meticulous planning resulted in a finely executed series of events that compounded into a beautiful memory. Not to mention, he went above and beyond in creating an itinerary that was both exciting and intriguing for the adults, and yet still manageable enough for the patience and span of attention of a 4 year old child. To balance the needs of all is no easy task, But Hakim seemed to do so seamlessly.

I would also like to commend him for his very personal service to us. At one point during the tour, my mom had left a credit card behind at a hotel hours and hours away, and Hakim was able to personally return the card to us in another city. We were grateful for his effort to safeguard our property, and continue to be entirely impressed by this gesture.

Hakim could not have planned a more perfect trip for our family, and in doing so has most certainly guaranteed that we will be back— and that we will highly recommend both Hakim and KimKim to anyone seeking excellent service for in their travel planning to Morocco.

I would be remiss if I did not extend a special shout-out to our dependable driver, Mohamed, who was a dream come true from the moment we met. After flight delays, cancellations, lost luggage and an exhausting trip across the Atlantic, he greeted us with a warm & welcoming smile, genuine kindness, and a calming energy, which gave us the reassurance that we were in very good hands. Throughout the entire tour he was endlessly patient— providing us with knowledge, insight and humor. He brought so much joy to my family (my 4 year old daughter, especially) during our long hours on the road. What a gift it was to have had him as our driver for the duration of the trip! We felt extremely lucky to have him, and are very honored to now call him a friend.

We had our own van which was always very clean and comfortable, and we never felt terribly rushed as we went from one city to another. Our tour guides were very good, particularly in Marrakech. We also did a food tour in Marrakech and we were pleasantly surprised that there were a lot of options for vegetarians and vegans. Thank you Tariq for a great interactive gastronomic tour!
Hakim was always in touch with us during our vacation and Rahim was always with us and made sure the hotel check ins went smoothly. We have to thank Rahim for driving us around the country from the Imperial cities to the Atlas Mountains and to the coastal shores safely and efficiently. He always took us to the perfect restaurants along the way for lunch stops which we very much appreciated. Hakim planned a fantastic trip for us and Rahim executed it perfectly by making sure we got from one destination to the next safely and on time. Our Moroccan vacation came together very smoothly and exactly as planned like pieces on a puzzle fitting together in the right spot.
